Ellenbank Country House Hotel
Situated conveniently one mile from Maryport, the Ellenbank Hotel is an ideal centre for the wonderful Cumbrian countryside which includes the Lake District National Park and part of the historic Hadrian's Wall. In fact, the Ellenbank Hotel was at one time the home of the Ritson family, renowned for their schooners which sailed the world. A splendid Victorian building set in extensive grounds, Ellenbank prides itself on offering a warm welcome backed by first-rate service.
All rooms are en-suite with Tea and Coffee making facilities. Also provided are a Colour Television, Direct Dial Telephone and a Hairdryer. The majority of the rooms overlook two and a half acres of the beautiful landscaped gardens. We have two comfortable bars both with open fires, to relax beside. The excellent Ritson Dinning Room offers a choice of A lá Carte or Table d'Hote Menu. The restaurant is open to non-residents. We also have an extensive Bar Meals Menu. Our Multi-purpose Function Room can accommodate up to 250 persons and the Hotel has three excellent Conference Rooms available for Commercial Conferences etc. Wedding and Dinner Dances are one of our specialities. A large Vistorian Snooker Room is available for residents use.
