The Wild Solway Centre at The Lake District Coast Aquarium.

Aquarium building

The Wild Solway Centre is an all new impressive and complimentary addition the native sealife displays of the Lake District Coast Aquarium, Maryport. It comprises a display hall which will be used to host a regularly changing calendar of events which will be free viewing for all visitors. The exhibition focus will generally be on issues affecting the aquatic environment locally, nationally and internationally, so over a period of time a wide variety of interests can be covered.

Inside aquarium building

The first exhibition, courtesy of the charity ‘SharkTrust’ highlights the plight of shark species worldwide and their importance to marine ecosystems. Adjoining the display hall is a state of the art 60 seat audio-visual theatre which will show any supporting media.
